My Experience
Over the span of my career I have worked with diverse populations and age groups From teaching in the public school system to counseling and life coaching in the private sector, I have been able to merge my education, skills, experiences, and expertise to meet the needs of each individual served.
I worked in the public school system over my 15-year teaching career, working with students in Special Education, 3rd grade, and Kindergarten. During this time, I focused on training and experience in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Behavioral and Conduct Disorders in children, ADD/ADHD, and Gifted and Talented students. I spent 9 years as the grade level team leader, which fostered a passion for research, curriculum and instruction, and collaboration with administrators, specialists, and support staff.

After leaving the field of teaching, I acquired my Masters in Counseling and worked for 7 years as the Executive Director of Ministries for Crazy8 Ministries, located in Joshua, Texas. This role was two-fold, as I was the director of both the Counseling program and the director of the long-term restorative housing program. In both of these capacities, I was responsible for recruiting, training, and overseeing counselors and case managers, as well as collaborating with community churches, non-profits, businesses, and social service agencies. I contributed to the on-going training of counselors as well as created a case management program that enhanced the services within the restorative housing program and equipped resident case managers.
Outside of administrative duties, I counseled with community clients and worked with the residents one-on-one and in groups as a case manager and life coach as part of their residential program.

My Approach
I believe the most important aspect of any counseling or coaching collaboration is relationship. Holding space for others in a non-judgmental and safe space is imperative for growth and change to occur.

I integrate different approaches to the different needs of all clients, but believe in finding realistic and workable solutions as quickly as possible. I believe an individual's core values and beliefs dictate their decisions in life and I am passionate about facilitating discovery and development with clients that lend to successful goal acquisition and success!

About Me
My husband, Lee, and I live on 5 acres outside of Cleburne, Texas. Together we share a blended family of 8 children, 9 grandchildren, 3 spoiled dogs, and a gang of wild barn cats. In our down time, we love to travel, spend time with our kids and grandkids, read, watch movies, and restore and rebuild all things "old".
